Jacob Walse-Dominguez is a young poet from the University of Santo Tomas who is currently battling multiple mis-diagnoses of bipolar disorder, clinical depression, and/or generalized anxiety disorder while figuring out how to make a gay relationship last with a man 11 years his senior. He has attended several national writers workshop in the Philippines—the Silliman National Writers Workshop and the Iligan National Writers Workshop.

He has also been published in a nation-wide magazine, worked and published in a nation-wide daily newspaper, and some college and university folios. During his time in the University of Santo Tomas, he has won Poet of the Year (2009), Honorable Mention for Fiction (2009), Fictionist of the Year (2008), and 3rd place in Poetry (2007) in the USTETIKA, the University of Santo Tomas’ University-wide literary contest.
